Chimfumnanya is a lawyer who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Law at the University of Kent and at the University of Uppsala, Sweden on an Erasmus Scholarship. She was called to the Nigerian Bar in November 2014. Her professional interest borders on child rights and protection and migrant children in emergencies with a focus on sexual exploitation and neglect of children.
She is passionate about fighting against violence against children. She is the Child Protection Specialist at We are For the Child (WFC), a Non-Governmental Organisation. She develops programs and campaigns on violence against children and creates a link between victims’ access to justice, psychologists/ psychotherapists, and healthcare. She is passionate about contributing to the achievement of SDG 5 on gender equality and SDG 16, specifically Target 16.2 on ending violence against children.
